Partridge in a pear bonnet

A fun and unique kitschmas bonnet; this look has been inspired by the song ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’ and the infamous Partridge in a pear tree line. It has been completely hand sculpted and fabricated from an original design. This bespoke look has been lovingly made over 13 hours of crafting to achieve the end result.

Description

The bonnet has been hand sculpted and painted to look like a giant pear, with a partridge on the right hand side which in a surrealist manner, fading into the back of the pear. Paint effects include both an airbrush technique using multiple graduated shades and brush painting. The final look has been thoroughly lacquered to provide a stunning glossy finish.

The bonnet is secured with a luxury red velvet ribbon and fully lined and super lightweight; all the elements are made up of foam. The headpiece has been made to my own head measurements (roughly 55.5cm circumference above the eyebrows), but it’s not too tight.

Please note, whilst this piece is lightweight and solid it and should be treated with care. Please also carefully view the photographs – the item is artisanal and hand sculpted and painted, so do make sure you are happy with the (perfect) ‘imperfections’!
