Q: How should I care for my piece, and how robust is it?

Most pieces are made from foam clay with either a resin or laquer finish. The piece will be hard to the touch and withstands a fair amount of accidental force (such as light knocks etc, and the pieces are largely splash-proof). However it is important to note that particularly with bonnets, overly bending the edges could lead to creases at the bottom – namely where it is most delicate to maintain flexibility around the face. Sharp edges or very hard knocks to the sculptures can also cause damage. Please keep them in a climate controlled environment and avoid too much excess heat or sunlight to preserve them best. Ideally keep bonnets on a stand (one will be included with the item).

Q: How does sizing work?

A: I mostly fit the item to my own head (56cm) – but please check the listing for the dimensions This figure refers to the head circumference size. This can be measured on your own head by wrapping a measuring tape around the widest part of your head, so just above your eyebrows. The oversized bonnets are cushioned however so the sizing is a lot more flexible for those, and of course, so are headbands etc.

Q: Do you do commissions?

A: Very happily. Please send your enquiry to [email protected] with details of what you’d like me to work on and we can discuss further.

Q: Where do you ship?

A: I have UK and worldwide shipping.

Q: How quickly can you ship?

A: Please be patient, as a sole trader I’m unfortunately limited with my resources (I may be away etc) – but I’ll do my very best to ship as soon as I can. Upon placing an order I will try to reply with shipping details that day. Larger items (such as bonnets) may require special delivery arrangements and special packaging purchased to keep it safe. Please message me if you have any specific requests or timelines.

Q: What is your refunds and returns policy?

A: I really really hope you love your item, but of course you can return your item within 30 days given it is in the original condition, packaging (and has not been worn or used for social media / promotions). I cannot unfortunately offer free returns so please bare this in mind. Please do also be mindful that I’m primarily an artist and I don’t like to use moulds etc to keep each piece unique – and so certain artistic ‘perfect imperfections’ may be present in the product (sculpting not exactly symmetrical etc, that kind of thing!). Please do check all photos and ensure you are happy with everything before buying. The general / full refunds and returns policy here.

Q: Do you offer discounts?

A: Unfortunately not as standard. But sign up for my mailing list and I can send out offers when / if can! Every piece is original, from the design to the production. Most individual piece you see takes on average about 30+ hours of crafting, not including marketing or any other time. I try to use the techniques that will offer the most personality, which means I opt for hand sculpting most of the time. I try to price pieces as affordably as I can, and what you see I promise is usually a very direct correlation to that time and the materials involved. If there is something similar but smaller in scope I am very happy to discuss making a bespoke alternative 🙂

Q: Can you do different sizes?

A: In short – yes, but please bear in mind that as every item is unique and sold as such on that basis, so, I’d alter the design a little so that it is different from the original, which we can work together on.

Q: I saw something on your posts online, but it isn’t listed here?

A: Most items are for sale, but some might not be quite ready (they might need lining, or a few tweaks etc). So pop me a message if there is something you were after, and I can prioritise it.

Q: The pice includes a battery – what happens if that runs out?

A: If I include a battery in a piece, I’ll add an access point within the lining so that the battery can be changed. You may need a mini screwdriver to do this!

Q: Do you do rentals or collaborations?

A: I’m very happy to discuss rentals and collaborations – send me an email at [email protected] with your project details or via the form below:
