This piece is a one off and real showstopper! It took over 35 hours of crafting to produce with hand sculpted details.

The tentacle suckers have been sculpted from a foam clay, as have details on the hat. The whole piece has been hand painted using an array of ombre blacks, blues and purple hues with dustings of copper/gold. The hat has been lightly laquered and finished with a pearlescent iridescent effect which adds to it’s feeling almost metalic.

Head circumference rim of around 55cm and it can be sat on top of the head at various angles if your head is a little larger (such as mine).

The hat is very light to wear as it is mostly comprised of foam elements. The inner of the hat has a felt lining with a wire mesh inner to keep everything intact.

It is certainly comfortable enough to wear for the day but as the inner is fairly solid it’s not the most comfortable. The arms are really quite sturdy but please do handle with care and watch your width as you move!  Please also carefully view the photographs – the item is artisanal and hand sculpted and painted, so do make sure you are happy with the (perfect) ‘imperfections’!
